FAQs

Below you will find answers to the questions we get asked the most by Campaign Managers.

How can I confirm my setup is correct?

We recommend the following steps to confirm your campaign setup is correct:

  • Ask another team member to look through
  • Send a test lead through, this will highlight any areas you may have missed
  • Compare your campaign against one of the Regional Template Campaigns

How do I send a test lead through?

Sending a test lead through is the same as uploading leads, however a test lead should only be one lead and is designed to ensure that you are confident with the campaign rules.

A brief reminder of how to do this:

  1. Select the Import Leads icon next to the relevant campaign
  2. Select the Form to upload to
  3. Download the Form and input Test details
  4. Select the file to import and continue the upload process

If your lead is marked as valid you can contact your campaign manager to confirm the test lead. If your lead is invalid please use the Export icon to pull a report on why your lead is invalid. From here you may need to reload with the error corrected or contact your campaign manager with any issues.

Why is a lead flagging on Asset Name when it looks correct on the Validation List/Value Transform?

This can come down to something really small such as an additional space or difference in a character used. If you copy the exact wording from the Validation List/Value Transform into a different location and then select Edit Data from within the Lead Detail, copy the Asset from the lead and paste underneath your first Asset, you should be able to see any small differences. We also recommend highlighting all the words in the Asset Name as this can show any additional spaces that may be in the name.

Why is the Profanity Check flagging on my leads?

The Profanity Job can flag on any profane words even if they are within words, or are created from two words being put together, which can sometimes be in Asset Names or Job Titles. If this job is flagging regularly we can exclude this field from the Job in the Processr.

To do this go into the Processr > Identify the Profanity Check > Select Configure > Select Add Item and follow the pattern of the standard values within the job.

Why are my leads being flagged for Invalid Email?

When using our Live Email Check, you can receive a few responses, which come directly from our Third Party API:

  • Valid: The email represents a real account / inbox available at the given domain
  • Invalid: Not a real email
  • Unknown: For some reason we cannot verify valid or invalid. Most of the time a domain did not respond quickly enough.
  • Accept All: These are domains that respond to every verification request in the affirmative, and therefore cannot be fully verified

In the situation where the Unknown response and the Accept All options are confirmed to be valid, these responses can be overridden by updating the configurations in the Live Email Validation job.

Why do Value Transforms and Validation Lists need to be an exact match?

An exact match means that the value on the lead needs to be identical to that in the Value Transform/Validation List etc. This means that there can be no differences in any capitalisations, no additional characters or spaces.

Why does one of my publishers want to do an Enterprise to Enterprise connection?

Enterprise to Enterprise is a connection between two Convertr instances. One of your Publishers may have their own Convertr instances and therefore want to set up this connection.

From your side all you need to do is ensure you have Tracking Links set up in your campaign and assign the Publisher to the campaign as normal.

Where do I check to ensure the Publisher name in Value Transforms matches the Publisher Name on the platform?

As we are using the Publisher Name to trigger a Value Transform, the Publisher Name should be exactly right. In order to check this, you can confirm the spelling within the Publisher tab against that in your value transform.

Please note: The publisher name should be followed by a space in the Value Transform in order for it to function correctly.

Invalid Lead Error Messages

The table contains descriptions as to what some of the Invalid Lead error messages are and what to do with them. Please note that this list covers the basic errors; please contact Convertr Support with any additional questions.

Error Message

What this means

What to do

Value Transforms Failed. No values found for field

This means that one of your Value Transforms has not run due to an expected value not being on the lead.

Based on the field identified by the error, check your Value Transform values exactly match those on the lead. These need to be an exact match.

Field name not found

A mandatory field is missing from the submitted lead.

Based on the field identified by the error, check if the lead contains the error

The lead value does not [equal] any values on the validation list [...] on the field [...] (...)

A value on the lead which is being checked by the Validation List, does not match.

Check the lead for the value that has been entered against that in the validation list. Please note, these need to be an exact match

Test Data Check for [...]

The word ‘test’ has been found within this field

Check the value on the lead, if the value is ‘test’ then the lead is invalid. If the value contains the word ‘test’ you can push the lead through as needed.

First and Last Name Match Check returned a status of 'Match’

The Firstname and Lastname fields contain the same word

Check the Firstname and Lastname fields and confirm if they match. If so, the lead is correctly invalidated and will need replacing.

Live Email Check returned a status of Invalid/Unknown

Our third party provider has deemed the email address to be invalid

Please see point 5 in the FAQs.

The field [...] with the operator [...] was not found in the list of values.

A value on the lead which is being checked by the Simple Conditional Validation Job does not match.

Check the lead for the value that has been entered against that in the Simple Conditional Validation. Please note, these need to be an exact match
